NCHJA Annual Show Success

Hope King and Ballarena

SLF Bellarena and Hope King continued their summer successes at the NCHJA Annual Horse Show, held June 30-July 4 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Hope and “Bella” earned championship honors in the Adult Amateur Hunter, 18-35, section, captured the Overall Grand Adult Hunter champion and won the NAL/WIHS Adult Amateur Hunter Classic. The pair won four classes and placed second in two others on their way to their many honors.

Dorian Grey and Lillian Cain

Dorian Grey and Lillian Cain earned top ribbons in the Large Green Ponies, including a win in the model. The pair also placed an impressive sixth in the USHJA Pony Hunter Derby.

Hope also relived her junior days aboard Cymphony and earned the reserve championship in the Bryan Jones Adult Medal Finals. With Frances Eischeid in the tack, Cymphony left the ring with a blue ribbon in the 12-14 Equitation on the flat and placed third over fences. The pair also placed second in the NCEA Equitation, with fourth in the same class going to Olivia Lonneman and her new mount, Clicquot X.

Olivia and her impressive gray also took second in the SCHJA Medal and placed seventh in the E.J. Haun Memorial Medal Final, Clicquot’s first American Equitation Final.

Jessica Pace and Dillon placed sixth in the NCHJA Children’s Medal Finals with an impressive performance.
